CAIP/YAIP Program Deadline: December 16, 2025
CAIP/YAIP Program Deadline: December 16, 2025
CAIP provides Kentucky agricultural producers with cost-share assistance on practices to allow them to improve and diversify their current farm operations. CAIP covers a wide variety of agricultural enterprises in its 11 incentive areas, including, but not limited to, bees and honey, equine, forage, beef and dairy cattle, goats and sheep, horticulture, poultry, swine, timber and technology, as well as energy efficiency and production, farm infrastructure and water enhancement, marketing, and value-added production. CAIP is a program of the KY Agricultural Development Fund (KADF) and is funded by the Tobacco Settlement Fund, part of the Master Settlement Agreement (MSA).
These funds will be distributed to producers as a tiered cost-share incentive to approved applicants, up to the county pro-rated maximum reimbursement among 3 investment areas.
YAIP encourages students ages 9 - 18 to engage in and explore agricultural opportunities.
All CAIP applicants interested in cost-sharing on beef and dairy practices (such as the purchase of bulls, heifers, or handling facilities) must also have an up-to-date KY Beef Quality and Care Assurance (BQCA) certification before funding is received.
Applicants must have a current AWQP to be eligible to apply for the CAIP Program.
